Zoning and Code Enforcement

In 2019 the Village passed a Zoning Ordinance which is administered and enforced by the Manistee County Planning Department. Prior to making any alterations or additions (including sheds and fences) on your property, you must contact the Manistee County Planning Department to confirm you meet all requirements and obtain appropriate permit(s).

You may also contact Manistee County Planning Department to inquire about zoning regulations, land use and land division regulations and/or permits along with required fees. The Manistee County Planning Department webpage also provides downloads for land use, parcel division or request for appeal forms.
