Check out the events below for year round fun around the Village of Bear Lake!
The premier annual summer event when thousands of people flock to Bear Lake the weekend after Independence Day. Food trucks line the street downtown, arts and crafts vendors sell merchandise and snacks of all kinds, fireworks, parades, dances, car shows, a pig roast, horse and wagon rides, an organized group bike ride around the lake and more. In short, plenty of activities & competitions for both kids and adults. Pick up some Bear Lake swag, participate in raffles and silent auctions. Most of the action is Friday through Sunday, but pre-party and kickoffs start as early as Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Sun, Sand and a Good Band - Love being on the lake and love live music? Music on the Lake is the only place to get both. Three times each summer over 100 watercraft gather in shallow area of Bear Lake to party and enjoy live bands set up on a pontoon stage.

For 39 years, the 3rd weekend in August has been the Community Yard Sale. Many homes around Bear Lake and in the surrounding area participate in the community yard sale. Most yard sales are open on Saturday and Sunday, but some setup as early as Thursday or Friday. People come from far and wide to find that one of a kind bargain and browse unique treasures.

A unique event that has been an amazing success, since it started in 2008, with an average of 650+ ghosts, goblins & princesses attending each year! Local businesses and families hand out candy with attractions that have included a popcorn station, cotton candy machine, cider and donuts! Takes place at in the parking lot of the Bear Lake Community Church on the corner of Main St and Smith St on Halloween night from 5 - 7:30 PM.

With 50+ campground sites at Hopkins Park decorated in various Holiday themes and the park lit up from November through the end of December, people of all ages will be drawn to the glow in the sky and might even ask if they are at the North Pole or in a Hallmark movie. Drive through or take a carriage ride between 5 -10 PM to experience over 100,000 lights and holiday decorations made with love. Since 2004 Sparkle in the park has been featured on the news and experienced by countless people! Opens on Thanksgiving Day and closes on January 1st.

On 8/29/24 the Village enacted a Short-Term Rental Ordinance. The Ordinance is on the Village website under the Government and then Ordinance tabs.
