     A family friendly RV Park on Bear Lake! Hopkins Park offers 31 campsites along with bathrooms and showers. Located directly on the lake, the campground offers amazing views and close access to other village resources.  
     

    Park Information

    • Reservation Season:  April 20 to October 20 
    • Check In Time: 3:00PM
    • Check Out Time: 12:00PM
    • ​Campers departing after 12 pm without prior Park Manager approval will be charged an additional night’s stay.  
    • About our camper restroom accessibility
      The building was built in approx. 1920-1940's to the standards of the time. There are two steps into the entrance of the dressing room/shower area.

    During holiday weekends, Bear Lake Days weekend and in the month of July, a minimum of 3 night stay is preferred due to demand.

    Hopkins Park is a campground on Bear Lake in the Village of Bear Lake, MI

    All reservations require a 50% deposit of your total stay.

    Daily Lot Prices

    Lakefront $45 Back Lot $35

    Payment Due: 

    Full amount due at the time of making your reservation.


    Daily Cancellation Policy: 

    Notice less than 7 days of stay, your deposit/payment will not be returned. Cancellation with 7 days or more notice, deposit/payment will be returned, less $25.

    Monthly Lot Prices

    Lakefront $900 Back Lot $800

    Payment Due: 

    Full amount due 10 Days after making your reservation.


    Monthly Cancellation Policy:

    Notice less than 15 days of stay, 1/2 your deposit will be returned.  Cancellation with 15 days or more notice, deposit/payment will be returned less $50.

    Seasonal Lot Prices

    Lakefront $2,500 Back Lot $2,200

    Payment Due: 

    Deposit due 10 Days after making your reservation. Balance due upon arrival at Hopkins Park


    Seasonal Cancellation Policy:

    Notice less than 15 days of stay, 1/2 your deposit will be returned.  Cancellation with 15 days or more notice, deposit/payment will be returned less $50.

    No refunds for holiday weekends or weather-related conditions.

    Campfire

    Campground & Park Policies

    • NO boats or jet skis in the swimming area.
    • NO SUBLETTING OF CAMPSITE, CAMPING VEHICLE AND/OR TENT IS ALLOWED. If there is any evidence that a camper is or is attempting to rent/sublease their space, camping vehicle and/or tent, they will be asked to leave and will not be entitled to a refund.  
    • WIFI Password and Bathroom codes will be given to campers upon arrival.
    • Park Manager phone is 231-383-2402 and is available 9 am – 8 pm. Park email is [email protected]
    • Quiet hours are from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
    • Dump station is in front of the bath house.
    • Coin operated showers: dime for 2½ minutes, quarter for 7½ minutes.
    • Camper trash will be picked up Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday.               
    • Please set bagged trash by site post prior to 10a.m. on day of pickup.
    • Maximum of 6 people per site. Park Manager reserves the right to charge additional $5/night for extra tent(s).
    • Two vehicles per site. Center grass area is for boat & trailer parking only. Fishing/boating area at East end of campground is not for camper parking. Visitors please park on the Village streets and walk down to the park.
    •  All RVs must be backed in to respect the privacy of the site next door.
    • Campers are allowed to attach hoses to campground water faucet to fill RV holding tank only. Hoses may not be attached for continual intake.
    • Please keep campsite within white posts on back sites. Areas outside posts are private property.
    • Pets are welcome in Hopkins Park as long as their people clean up after them! Please keep pets on a leash and under control at all times. Pets are NOT welcome in the swim area, playground or bath house. Leashes may be tied to RVs or a stake, not to trees.
    • Please keep fires within the fire rings. Do not leave fires unattended or move fire rings. Fire areas are meant for fires only. No cans, bottles, trash or dishwater within fire rings, please.
    • Campers may not trim trees. See Park Host or Park Manager if there’s a problem.
    • No riding of ATVs or ORVs is allowed in the campground.
    • Suggestion/complaint forms are available from Park Host and can be returned there also.
    • The Village of Bear Lake will not be responsible for lost or stolen articles, damage to personal property, or personal injury. 
    • Management reserves the right to have anyone removed from Hopkins Park. Any person asked to leave due to use of profanity, threats or acts of verbal and/or physical violence to people and/or property, damage to property and/or violation(s) of Park Policies will not be entitled to a refund.

    2025 BRUSH PICK UP DATES:

       Thursdays 5/8, 6/5, 7/10, 8/7, 9/11 AND 10/2

    Brush must be piled neatly at the curb with the cut end of branches facing the street.


    MAY VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING DATE CHANGED

    WATER BILLS

    Mailing of the new water bills showing the new usage based rate has been delayed due to the need to correct past meter records in order to convert to a new accurate automated billing system. We regret the delay.
